As I promised...

Here are some photos of the scarf I made for my dad.

It started so simply...

The finished product!

It matches Hamlet!
(I know the picture is dark, just trust me on this)

My dad, trying on his new gift

OMG! Dutch appeltaart! Just like Oma used to make.

Holy crap! One week until Christmas!
Why is it that when you're a kid, Christmas takes *forever* to arrive, but when you're an adult, it sneaks up on you?

That scarf is a stunner! What yarn did you use? I hope your dad likes it because if he doesn't I might have to steal it :)

I also can't believe how close Christmas is! It really does sneak up on you. I'm so glad that I have visits with you and with Jane to look forward to after the holidays.

I used Noro Silk Garden (the same yarn that was used for my clapotis)

I admit, it was a great project. I watched a lot of TV while knitting it (and there are a few small mistakes in there) but it was super easy to do!

You are going to have to sign up for Ravelry someday to keep all those finished projects straight!

Scarf looks great, and I love the Hamlet pic... looks suspiciously like one I have of Hermes!
