*tap tap* Is this thing on?

Well, lots has happened since the last time I blogged. Unfortunately, not a lot is interesting... or blogable.

I got my Christmas shopping done... only to tell my family about it and discover that they had already bought some of the stuff I did. So with only a few short days before Christmas (and all my free time booked up), I have to get back to the mall.

I had a really fun Friday evening with some friends, eating sushi and going to see "Bolt". The movie was a lot better than I thought it would be. Very very funny and cute, and engaging. I loved the fanboy hamster!

I've been doing a lot of knitting on my shrug ... but I haven't taken any photos. Nor have I taken the photos from my Ottawa adventure off my camera yet. I swear it's on my to-do list.

Anyway, my family tree is decorated, we celebrated my dad's birthday, and today my sister is giving her phD (PhD? PHd?) thesis defense. Then we're going out for dinner. Good luck Amanda!

See? Lots going on, not terribly interesting. I am looking forward to new years, though.

New Years

It occurs to me suddenly that I didn't share any of my New Years pictures.

I spent the New Year with an old friend of mine from highschool, her boyfriend, and another friend of theirs. I had a great time! We played an awesome PS2 game called "Rock Band" (which I lurve) and I even tried playing a Wii for the first time! Then we walked to downtown Brampton for their fireworks and festivities.

Fireworks...

and ice sculptures (brought to you by Bell)...

and fire pits for marshmallow roasting....

and acrobats!

It was a very pleasant New Years

Last post of 2007!

It was a merry Christmas at my household this year, and Hamlet's first Christmas ever! I wanted to get a picture of him amongst the tree and presents, but he wouldn't go near them :)

He did, however, help me pack.

I got home after working for a few hours on Dec 24th to help wrap gifts. My aunt and uncle came over for Christmas Eve dinner (which is always "nibblies" - cheese, crackers, salmon, hardboiled eggs, etc) and then it was time to sleep in anticipation of getting stuff Santa.

The stockings are hung by the chimney gas fireplace with care.

My sister receives the Gift of Cheese:

(it's not actually cheese)

And after the festing, while waiting for the turkey to cook, I completed my diagonal scarf!!!

Happy New Year, everyone!!
